Everyone needs a little luck in their life

Read through some of our recent successful adoption stories of 2025. Kitties who have been rehomed and found peace, love and playtime after their rough life on the streets. They're all thriving now and living their best life you could possibly imagine.

Ocean and Orlando

We decided we wanted to adopt a cat after getting married and we seen the pictures of Orlando and ocean who were having to be re homed through no fault of their own. And they wanted them to be kept together. After a few long conversations and continuously looking at their photos we fell in love with them. So decided to make contact to try adopt them. The adoption agency got back to us quickly after various conversations through FaceTime, they agreed to let us adopt. Since then it’s been the best thing ever. Bit shy to begin with but now having their own personalities have now shown through. They are really cuddly and friendly cats and couldn’t think of life without them now.

Mia

When I first met Mia, I was only fostering her. She was a five-year-old triple-color beauty with the most stunning green eyes, and I thought I’d only be looking after her for a short while until she found a forever home. But after about half a year together, I realized she had already found it — with me.

Mia has become inseparable from my life. She waits for me every day to come home from work, greeting me like the most loyal friend. She follows me around the house, always wanting to be close, and curls up beside me in the evenings. She isn’t just a cat — she’s my angel, and I can’t imagine my life without her.

Adopting her was the best decision I’ve ever made. She fills my home with love and warmth, and every time I look into her green eyes, I feel grateful that I get to be her person.

Nova

In July, I adopted Nova, a very special cat with an incredible story of survival. Her journey began in Dubai, where she was found inside a ministry office at the airport. She had been trapped without food for weeks and, at just 0.8kg, was in the final stages of starvation. At first, it seemed like she might not make it, but Nova proved she was a fighter. With care and determination, she began to eat, gain strength, and transform into the beautiful girl she is today.
I first met Nova while she was in foster care and was immediately struck by her gentle but resilient spirit. Despite everything she had endured, she was curious and affectionate, showing she was ready to trust again. Bringing her home in July felt like the beginning of something truly special.
Now, Nova has settled in wonderfully. She loves watching the world from her favorite window, chasing her toys with bursts of energy, and curling up for naps in the coziest spots. Most of all, she has filled my home with love and joy.
I’m so grateful to the rescue team for saving Nova and giving us the chance to find each other.

Muffin

In June 2025, little Muffin was rescued by Sara in Abu Dhabi, and just a few months later he made the big journey to the UK to join our family. He arrived at our home on 12th September and from the moment he stepped out of his carrier he made himself at home, confidently investigating every corner, shelf, and hiding place.

Muffin has settled in wonderfully. He’s affectionate and loving, happiest when curled up on a lap while we’re working during the day or relaxing on the sofa in the evening. When he’s not busy cuddling, he’s a bundle of playful energy - his favourite toys are little plastic balls with bells inside which he bats across the floor before dashing after them at full speed. Always chatty, he greets us with a cheerful meow and a chirp, providing his own running commentary throughout the day. Another favourite pastime is perching by the window to watch the world go by, keeping a close eye on the neighbours and any passing wildlife.

The adoption process was incredibly smooth thanks to Meow Meow Rescue, who kept us updated with photos and messages in the run up to the flight and during the journey itself. Sharon and Sara have been so thoughtful in checking in since Muffin’s arrival. We are so grateful to have this fluffy little ball of fun in our lives – he has already brought us so much joy.

Jori

We adopted Jori from Meow Meow Rescue in April 2024 and it was the best decision we've ever made. Jori settled in so well, and has become the most amazing addition to our small family. We love her more than we could have ever imagined.

The whole process of adopting was straightforward but professional and I felt confident and looked after by the team at all times.
One of us got a tattoo of the letter J, in honour of our new family member.

Special thank you Meow Meow Rescue and Roshka who rescued and named Jori originally.

Otis and Esme

We had been keen to rescue two sibling kittens ever since our first trips to Turkey with our small children a few years ago. Seeing how interested they were in making sure the stray cats had water and food made us consider the idea of pets for our home in Scotland. And so we came across Meow Meow Rescue.

From the moment we visited their website and completed a brief form, the ball was rolling and we couldn’t wait!
Communication was swift and professional, and soon we were filming our house and having a video call with Sharon.
We then had our first contact with Maria in Abu Dhabi who was fostering Oscar and Romina (now Otis and Esme).
Fast forward a month which thankfully involved many updates from Maria, and we collected our beautiful kittens from Glasgow quarantine.

We’re so very grateful for Maria, Sharon and all the team for making the adoption so smooth. They really care about these animals and it reflects in the fantastic efforts everyone makes in helping people like us to add to the homes with these beautiful pets. They are even ready for Christmas with matching stockings.

Sugar

I am writing about the successful adoption of Sugar for your website. Feel free to edit or shorten it if its too long. Here is our story.

Myself and my young son had been wanting a cat for some time, however due to my son being only 4 years old at the time, many rescue groups said no. I applied to another rescue group before meow meow, to adopt a cat, we had chosen her and were looking forward to our new addition. However it wasn't meant to be as the rescue group let us down badly after going through the process of adoption, needless to say we were completely heartbroken. Meow Meow rescue was my last try at adopting a cat before I would (very reluctantly) try a breeder.

I contacted them and I was treated so well, they were so understanding about my previous letdown and my questions and concerns were answered with care and understanding. I was shown a beautiful pure white cat called Sugar, she sounded like the perfect fit for us. So i cautiously started the adoption process for her, which was very quick and easy. My son and I were overjoyed when we were approved to adopt her. Picking her up from her foster carer was was a beautiful day,

Sugar is absolutely stunning and the sweetest cat we could hope for. She has just slotted into our family and made herself completely at home, even eating food as soon as she arrived. Sugar is a confident, sweet, funny and happy girl, we adore her and couldn't imagine our life without her, she's a wonderful companion for me and she loves playing with my son too. We are so grateful to Meow Meow rescue for letting us adopt Sugar.

I would highly recommend this rescue group and if i adopt again in the future, I will contact Meow Meow rescue, as i know i will be treated with kindness and understanding, they have been amazing at finding us our perfect companion. Thank you so much!!!

Caramel

We met Caramel last December, just as Jack returned to China and Cherry stayed in the UK for her studies. The moment we saw his photos, a thin, furless little boy, we knew we wanna bring him home. Caramel has brought so much joy and happiness to us and our friends, especially during the cloudy, rainy days in Glasgow.

On his very first day, Caramel was shy and nervous, spending hours tucked under the sofa as he tried to figure out his new home. But just a few days later, he started exploring his new home and playing with Cherry. Since then, he has been eating very well and growing quickly. Caramel now has transformed from a thin, furless kitten into a fluffy, beautiful, and confident cute young boy.

This August, Caramel and Cherry returned to China. Now he lives happily with Cherry, and Jack visits every day to play with him. Like in Glasgow, Caramel’s days are filled with cuddles, toys, delicious food, and most importantly, love from Cherry and Jack~
